Crap Crap Crap

Just got into work this morning and realized I left my camera at home with a bunch of pictures! I repeat...crap crap crap.

Remembering Everything
In addition to the necessities of being away during the week (laptop, suitcase with clothes and toiletries, wallet, work id, cell phone and money), there are also a number of things I always need with me. My knitting project (duh!), vitamins, lip balm, CAMERA and jacket/sweater/coat (as necessary). There are some additional things I need to remember on an occasional basis, like my absentee ballot application this week and my expense account information.

Sometimes it's just a bit too much to remember everything, and damnit, this week the camera fell through the cracks.

Current Knitting
Sometimes, even when I've left my camera at home, I am fortunate enough to have downloaded all the pictures to my laptop. This isn't one of those times.

I did end up sewing all the 20 squares together for the niece's afghan, and I realized I needed a border, so I knit and sewed on a border to one side of the afghan. Just two more borders to knit and sew and then I can wash, block and send this gift.

--edited after the fact to add the picture of the sewn together afghan--

Which would you prefer:

1. That I insert pictures into the correct place in the blog when I get home?
2. Insert pictures all in one place in a blog entry on Friday for the entire week?

Readers' Comments/Questions
I love what GeekKnitter wrote about hate and bigotry, "I've come to believe that one of the reasons people hate is just sheer laziness. It's so much easier to hate someone than to have compassion for them, because you don't have to try putting yourself in their shoes to see why they might be who they are."

I think this is very true...that same laziness is why many folks in this country are obese, and why we don't vote in such ridiculous numbers and partially why we're so polluted because folks don't walk anywhere...it goes on and on, but I think GK is onto something with this.
